Why We Hate Boots on the Ground Events (And Why You’ll Love Them )

Alright, we’ll admit it — we hate Boots on the Ground Events.

We hate how every time one comes around, we tell ourselves we’ll take it easy… and then somehow end up laughing until our sides hurt, dancing way too long, and staying out later than we planned. We hate how we always promise “just one more song” — and that turns into three more hours of music, stories, and memories.

Yep, we hate them… because they’re just that much fun.

For those who haven’t experienced one, our Boots on the Ground Events are legendary. They’re not just parties — they’re a celebration of everything that makes our Masonic family special. The Brothers, the Sisters, the laughter, the fellowship, the shared joy of being together — it’s all there.

These nights are full of energy, friendship, and good old-fashioned fun. It’s where titles and formality take a back seat to connection and community. Where you can see a Past Master on the dance floor, a Worthy Matron leading the conga line, and everyone enjoying the kind of togetherness that only happens when we’re all in the same room.

And the best part? The smiles say it all. From the music and food to the photos (especially from the recent Sisters’ event — what a night!), every moment reminds us how lucky we are to be part of a family that knows how to work hard, serve proudly, and celebrate joyfully.

So yes, we “hate” Boots on the Ground Events — because they make it impossible not to have the time of our lives.

If you’ve never been to one, trust us — you don’t want to miss the next one. Just don’t blame us when your cheeks hurt from smiling and your feet hurt from dancing.

You might “hate” it too… but only because you’ll love it just as much as we do.
