Walter Johnson Jr. Lodge Runs in Fort Pierce to Support Treasure Coast Food Bank Outrun Hunger 5K
On the morning of September 20th, members of Walter Johnson Jr. Masonic Lodge No. 765 of Indiantown proudly participated in the Outrun Hunger 5K in Fort Pierce, an inspiring event benefiting the Treasure Coast Food Bank.
What started as a simple run quickly turned into a powerful experience of community, connection, and service.
Fighting Hunger, One Step at a Time
The Treasure Coast Food Bank serves as a vital lifeline for families across our region, and we were honored to support their mission. Every mile we ran reminded us why we serve—not just as Masons, but as neighbors, friends, and citizens committed to lifting others up.
The cause is real: thousands of local families rely on the food bank every month. By showing up, we stood with them—and with everyone working to make sure no one goes hungry on the Treasure Coast.
A Warm Welcome from Fort Pierce
The people of Fort Pierce welcomed us with open arms and open hearts. From the early-morning volunteers to the cheering families along the race route, the energy was contagious. We had the chance to meet and talk with community members from all walks of life—teachers, students, first responders, small business owners—all united in support of a shared mission.
It was a reminder that when people come together with purpose, real change happens.
Masons in Motion
At Walter Johnson Jr. Lodge No. 765, our work doesn’t end at the lodge doors. Events like this are opportunities to live our values—Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth—in the most practical way. Whether it was running the race, encouraging fellow participants, or simply being present, we were proud to represent Indiantown and to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Brothers and our community.
Looking Ahead
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Treasure Coast Food Bank, the event organizers, and the Fort Pierce community for hosting such a meaningful event. We were honored to be part of it—and we look forward to returning next year, even stronger and with more Brothers ready to run for the cause.
Let’s continue to Outrun Hunger—together.
